About the Role

We are looking for potential candidates to join us as an Accounts Executive. The role is responsible for managing the full set of accounts, including cash flow, reconciliations, GST filing, and financial reporting. The position involves handling journal entries, month-end and year-end closings, intercompany transactions, and audit preparations.

The Accounts Executive is expected to maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support timely submission of financial reports.

For the senior role, additional responsibilities include guiding junior staff, reviewing finance processes for improvement, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing financial analysis to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including cash flow, bank reconciliation, GST filing and petty cash.
• Manage general ledger functions and operations.
• Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and provisions, and maintain recurring journals for subsidiaries.
• Perform monthly and yearly accounts closing within the stipulated deadlines.
• Perform monthly intercompany reinvoicing.
• Handle intercompany and account reconciliations.
• Ensure timely submission of monthly reporting for consolidation reporting.
• Assist in ensuring subsidiary books are maintained accurately and in accordance with Accounting Standards.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation, tax computation, and submission of statutory obligations.
• Prepare audit schedules for subsidiaries.
• Liaise with banks on operational banking matters and participate in audit procedures.
• Responsible for year-end stock take.

Additionally for Senior Role:

• Assist in guiding and training junior executives on financial procedures and systems.
• Assist in reviewing and recommending policies and work processes for continuous improvement of finance operations.
• Support strategic planning initiatives by participating in budgeting and forecasting activities.
