Old Records Beat, New Record Set: Singapore’s Largest Table Tennis Competition

SINGAPORE – Once again, the Singapore Table Tennis Players (STTP) in conjunction with Tampines West CSC has set a new record in the Singapore Book of Records for holding the Largest Table Tennis Tournament in Singapore! The 2019 Singapore National Table Tennis League (SNTTL) sponsored by ATT Group had a total of 105 teams and 1125 players participating in the tournament.
Like its slogan, “Where Passion Meets Talent”, the tournament invited both players with a passion for the sport and skilled players to participate. With 7 divisions, players of all sorts ranging from ex-national players to amateurs, were able to join in and pit their skill against others of the same standards. Catered to all, the tournament featured players of various diversity in terms of ages, ethnicity and skill level. Furthermore, being an all-inclusive society, the ATT SNTTL 2019 open division 7 saw the participation of para-athletes from the Table Tennis Association for the Disabled (Singapore).
The tournament, which spanned over 3 weekends and a total of 5 days (13th, 14th, 21st, 27th and 28th July 2019), enabled spectators to witness many exciting matches as players fought with resolve to win the coveted medals and trophies and gave their all for their teams.
